INSIGHTS – Featuring Past Works of Jeremy Sharma & Esmond Loh

Haridas Contemporary is proud to present an exhibition that provides insights into the artistic trajectory of Jeremy Sharma (b. 1977) and Esmond Loh (b. 1995). The show features selected works from Sharma spanning from 2013 – 2020, delineating his interest in drawing in the age of mechanical, industrial and digital reproduction – to the current juncture within Sharma’s body of paintings.

Concurrently, the show features Loh’s largest painting to date – completed during his time at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, in 2018 – and two additional paintings from the same series. Loh’s last two solo exhibitions with the gallery can be traced from these works – in which viewers are introduced to Loh’s formative ideas of ‘memory-scapes’ – that tap into collective emotions such as nostalgia, displacement, and quiet absurdity.
